John started in the business with Denver, CO-based
Van Schaack, then a leading brokerage firm in the Front Range of Colorado,
in 1972. He had a Bachelors Degree in agriculture business and also
had earned a Masters Degree in economics. A Colorado native, who grew
up in a small town, John understands Colorado sellers and buyers as
well as anyone whos ever been in the business.
John, who also owns a meaningful share of his brokerage company, The
Kentwood Company, has led his company in sales for several years.
Over the last five years, his closed volume has averaged over $92,000,000.
In 2002, John was ranked 39th in the Nation among the top 100 associates
in the country by Realtor magazine. Denvers top residential
broker in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003, John has always described himself
as a people person. He likes the service part of it, working
